Legislator Nicks Seeks District 5 Women’s History Month Honorees

In honor of March as Women’s History Month, Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) invites the community to nominate individuals for recognition as a District 5 Women’s History Month honorees.

Whether drawing from the world of business, community service, education, activism, the arts or any other realm, residents are invited to submit candidates whom they feel have excelled and made tremendous strides in their fields.

“Women across Nassau County and our nation continue to blaze trails that are propelling our society to new heights, but their achievements far too often are unrecognized or underappreciated,” Legislator Nicks said. “Our Women’s History Month celebration seeks to change that in District 5, and with your help, we will bring our community together in celebration of the phenomenal women who are making a difference in the world around us.”

All nominations are due by Sunday, March 1 and can be submitted to BWalsh2@nassaucountyny.gov.
