Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Huntington Village Crash

Huntington, NY - February 15th, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Huntington Village last night.

Matthew McKay was attempting to cross Main Street, west of Nassau Road, when he was struck by an eastbound 2016 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Theresa Caperna at approximately 9:20 p.m.

McKay, 67, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries. Caperna, 57, of Centerport, was not injured.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252. All calls will be kept confidential.
