Man Arrested After Pointing Loaded Gun at Babylon Restaurant Employee

Lindenhurst, NY - February 15th, 2016 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Lindenhurst man after he pointed a loaded gun at a security guard at a Babylon restaurant early this morning.

Atilla Goksen was removed from Monsoon, located at 48 Deer Park Ave., after he was involved in an incident inside the restaurant. While outside the restaurant, Goksen pointed a loaded handgun at a security guard.

Goksen was wrestled to the ground by multiple employees, dropped the gun and fled the scene on foot. He was arrested a short time later on Main Street in Babylon.

Goksen, 25, of Sands Lane, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

Goksen is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip today.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
