Bay Shore Man Arrested for Driving with 53 License Suspensions, Police Report

North Babylon, NY - February 14, 2019 - Suffolk County Police arrested a man for driving with 53 license suspensions in North Babylon on Wednesday, February 13,.
 
Darrell Morgan was driving a 2000 Mercedes SUV on the Sunrise Highway North Service Road, near Hubbard Path, at approximately 3:30 p.m. when police initiated a traffic stop. During the investigation, it was determined Morgan was driving with a fake New Jersey license plate. Officers determined his New York driver’s license had been suspended 53 times.
 
Morgan, 59, of Bay Shore, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, a Class E Felony. The Mercedes has been impounded. Morgan was released on an appearance ticket for a future court date at the Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
