Cops: Two Arrests Made in Connection with Series of Nassau County Business Robberies

Nassau County, NY - February 14, 2018 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of two (2) men for Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 3:02 am in Westbury.
 
According to Robbery Squad detectives, two (2) male subjects entered the 7-11 located at 760 Old Country Road. The first subject approached the clerk, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The subject struck the male clerk, 58, in the head with the handgun, knocking him to the floor. Both subjects fled the scene without proceeds.
 
The victim was treated at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic.
 
An investigation led to the arrests of Jahmani Harleston, 19, Brentwood, and D’Andre Dogostiano, 18, of Rockville Centre.
 
During the investigation it was determined Jahmani Harleston was involved in the following Robberies:
 
  1. February 4, 2018 – Green Gas Station, 2 Hempstead Ave., Hempstead.
  2. February 6, 2018 – Fast Break Deli, 1066 Merrick Ave., N. Merrick. (Attempt)
  3. February 6, 2018 – 7-11, 324 Merrick Rd., Rockville Centre.
  4. February 6, 2018 – Sunoco Gas Station, 1220 Hempstead Tpke., Uniondale.
  5. February 12, 2018 – 7-11, 333 Oak St., Uniondale.
Defendant Harleston is charged with four (4) counts of Robbery 1st Degree, two (2) counts of Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd Degree.
 
Defendant Dogostiano is charged with Attempted Robbery 1st Degree and Attempted Robbery 2nd Degree.  Both defendants will be arraigned February 14, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.  
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
