Authorities: Baldwin Man Arrested After Robbing Bethpage Federal Credit Union in Lynbrook

Lynbrook, NY - February 14, 2018 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of Baldwin man for Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 12:01 pm in Lynbrook.
 
According to Robbery Squad detectives, Gordon Pierre Delva, 28, walked into Bethpage Federal Credit Union, located at 613 Sunrise Highway, Lynbrook, and gave the teller a demand note. The victim complied and gave Delva an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. He fled the scene on foot. Delva was located a short time later in the vicinity of Peninsula Blvd. and Langdon Pl. by Lynbrook Police. He was arrested without incident.
 
There were ten (10) employees and four (4) customers in the bank.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Delva is charged with Robbery 3rd degree.  He will be arraigned on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.  
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
