Legislator Tom Muratore Honors Sachem North High School’s Football Champs
Selden, NY - February 12, 2014 - At the February 11, 2014 General Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature, Legislator Tom Muratore (R-Ronkonkoma) recognized Sachem North High School’s Football Team as the Class I Long Island Champions for 2013. Muratore presented a proclamation to commemorate the event.
“The Flaming Arrows” had a fantastic season with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses under the leadership of Head Coach Dave Falco. They won the Class I Long Island Championship and the Suffolk County Division I Championship for 2013. Sachem North’s Football team also has the distinguished honor of having their Coach, Dave Falco, named as the New York State Coach of the Year.
“I look around the room and see young men with bright futures ahead of them,” stated Legislator Muratore. “Because they are fortunate to have a leader like Coach Falco, they have learned the importance of team work and perseverance. Congratulations to the Flaming Arrows on this fine accomplishment, and to Coach Dave Falco for the well-deserved honor of being named New York State Coach of the Year.”
