Chimney Repair Men Arrested for String of Burglaries in Farmingdale & Wantagh

Farmingdale, NY - February 11th, 2016 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of two Farmingdale men for three burglaries that occurred in Wantagh and Farmingdale on Tuesday 01/19/16, Thursday 01/28/16 and Wednesday 02/10/16.

According to detectives, Robert Heredia, 29, and Gustave Schotker, 33, both of Clinton Ave., while performing chimney repair work for National Home Improvements Inc., gained entry into homes on Clinton Ave. in Farmingdale, Darby Road West and Jonathan Lane, both in  Wantagh, and removed jewelry and cash.

Subsequent investigation by detectives led to the arrest of the defendants on Wednesday, 02/10/16 in Farmingdale. Heredia is being charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree.

Schotker is being charged two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. Both defendants will be arraigned on Thursday 02/11/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
