Three Teens Critically Injured in Medford Crash

Medford, NY - February 11th, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Medford that critically injured two people and seriously injured another last night.

Kaynen Peters, 17, of Patchogue, was exiting a driveway at 995 North Ocean Avenue when his 1999 Nissan Sentra was struck by a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Luis Sanchez, 57, of Medford at approximately 11:05 p.m.

Peters and his two female passengers, Brandi Bass and Desiree Lamberson, both of Patchogue, along with Sanchez, were transported via ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Patchogue. Peters and Bass, 19, are listed in critical condition with internal injuries. Lamberson, 19, is listed in serious condition and Sanchez is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
