The man allegedly behind a horrific 2021 acid attack that left a Long Island college student disfigured has finally been tracked down and brought to justice, police say.

Terrell Campbell of Brooklyn, 29, appeared in Nassau County Court Tuesday morning, where he reportedly pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from the Wednesday, March 17, 2021 attack upon Nafiah Ikram of Elmont, who was 21 years-old at the time.

According to Nassau County Police Department officials, Ikram was walking on the driveway of her Arlington Avenue residence when was approached from behind by an unknown male, now identified as Campbell. The suspect was carrying a white colored cup containing a dark colored substance which he then threw at Ikram’s face. Campbell then fled eastbound on Arlington Avenue in a Nissan Altima, officials say.

As a result of the attack, Ikram suffered second and third-degree burns on her face, and lost vision in one eye.

Prosecutors claim that Campbell, an aspiring rapper, included lyrics in one of his songs that he posted to social media referencing the acid attack. A motive for the attack has not been publicly revealed as of press time.
