Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Yaphank woman with Animal Cruelty on February 8th, 2017.

Susan Prigozy, 57, of Yaphank is charged with 3 counts of animal neglect following the death of 3 cats.

Yaphank, NY - February 10, 2017 - Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Yaphank woman with Animal Cruelty on February 8th, 2017.

Susan Prigozy 57, of Yaphank, was charged 3 counts of animal neglect for failure to provide proper sustenance resulting in the death of 3 cats. With the assistance of Brookhaven Animal Shelter,  animals were seized from the location. Additional charges may be added.

Prigozy will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on April 10, 2017.

Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County.  If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.
