Bay Street Theater Partners With Hamptons International Film Festival For Winter Film Screening Series

Sag Harbor, NY - February 8, 2018 - Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a partnership with Hamptons International Film Festival for a series of film screenings this winter.
 
The Hamptons International Film Festival will host film screenings at Bay Street Theater on Sunday February 18, Saturdays, February 24 and March 10, and Sunday, March 18. Tickets are $15 for each screening, with special rates being offered to Hamptons International Film Festival Members and Patrons. Tickets are on sale now at baystreet.org and through the Box Office at 631-725-9500.
 
On Sunday, February 18 at 1pm, Bay Street Theater and Hamptons International Film Festival will present The Insult (Lebanon, 2017, 112 minutes), Directed by Ziad Doueiri and nominated for the 2018 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In today’s Beirut, a civilian dispute blown out of proportion finds Tony, a Lebanese Christian, and Yasser, a Palestinian refugee, facing off in court. As the media circus surrounding the case threatens a social explosion in divided Lebanon, Tony and Yasser reconsider their values and beliefs as revelations of trauma complicate their understanding of one another.
  
On Saturday, February 24 at Bay Street Theater, screenings of the 2018 Academy Award nominees for Best Live Action Short Film and Best Animated Short Film will show throughout the day. The screenings begin with the Animated Shorts at 12 pm, followed by the Live Action Shorts at 1:30 pm. The second program will start with the Animated Shorts at 5 pm, followed by the Live Action Shorts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for any individual screening, or $25 when buying tickets for the entire afternoon or evening programs.
