Police Report Attempted Kidnapping of 12-Year-Old Boy in Freeport

Freeport, NY - February 8, 2017 - First Squad detectives report the details of an attempted kidnapping that occurred on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 5:04 P.M. in Freeport.

According to detectives, the male victim, 12, was walking north on North Brookside Avenue when a male black subject, in his 30’s, stocky build wearing a green jacket and jeans came up from behind him and placed his hand over the victim’s mouth.  As the victim struggled to break free a passerby honked the horn and the subject released the victim then fled south on North Brookside Avenue.

No injuries were reported.
