Cops: Man Arrested Following Search Warrant, Drugs and Weapons Seized at Patchogue Residence

Patchogue, NY - February 7, 2019 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a man and seized drugs and weapons following the execution of a search warrant at a Patchogue residence on Wednesday, February 6.
 
Following an investigation, Fifth Squad Special Operations Team (SOT) detectives, with the assistance of Emergency Service Section officers and Fifth Precinct Gang Unit officers, executed a search warrant at a residence on Wilmarth Ave. at approximately 5:35 a.m. One Glock semiautomatic handgun, a Taurus semiautomatic handgun, a Ruger pistol, a Smith & Wesson pistol, four assault rifles, six shotguns, two rifles and five sets of brass knuckles, and a switchblade were seized. Two of the pistols were previously reported stolen. In addition to the weapons, quantities of Oxycodone, Xanax, concentrated cannabis, marijuana, morphine pills, assorted boxes of ammunitions, cash, and packaging materials were seized from the house.
 
Patrick Musumeci, 30, a resident of the home, was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, six counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th Degree, five counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Grand Larceny 4th Degree.
 
Musumeci will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct, and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on February 7.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
