Brooklyn, NY - February 9th, 2015 - The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. regional chamber of Commerce will be servicing Kings County one of the largest population of African Americans in the country. The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. was founded by its chairman John L. Scott and is currently led by its President, Phil Andrews.
 
“The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. believes that Kings County will significantly benefit from a regional chamber of commerce of this magnitude due to the significant number of African American business owners in Brooklyn.  The chamber of commerce will also benefit its member network in its other service areas of Nassau, Suffolk and Queens County and serve as a hub of trade”. Phil Andrews, President, Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.
 
One of the chamber’s goals is to increase the number of Certified Minority Business Owners in its member network throughout the counties it serves.  The chamber will be conducting a series of ongoing workshops gears toward introducing business owners in its member network to the process of Minority Business Certification and attracting additional members to the chamber of commerce that have a desire to be certified as minority business owners.
