Bohemia / Central Islip / Brentwood, NY - February 3, 2017 - The Islip Town Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs will host job fairs for teens and young adults to help them find part-time work or summer employment. The events will be held at the Bohemia Recreation Center, Central Islip Recreation Center, and the Brentwood Recreation Center. Local businesses are encouraged to participate as well, and there is still space for those looking to offer employment to local youth.
“This is a great opportunity for local businesses and young residents to connect and find success together,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Finding employment early in life can help teach skills that are needed in a career setting.”
Teens and young adults looking for employment should bring copies of their resumé. Local businesses looking to hire employees should contact our Parks and Recreation Department by calling (631) 224-5405 to reserve their space at the events.
The job fairs are scheduled as follows:
Bohemia Recreation Center: February 21st, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Central Islip Recreation Center: February 24th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Brentwood Recreation Center: April 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
