Dix Hills Man Arrested for DWI in North Hills
North Hills, NY - February 6th, 2015 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Dix Hills man for Driving While Intoxicated on Friday, February 06, 2015 at 1:35 A.M. in North Hills.
According to police, Vincent Messina, 25, of Dix Highway, was observed by a Nassau County Highway Patrol Officer driving a 2013 Smart car eastbound in the westbound lanes causing other motorists to take evasive action to avoid him. A car stop was conducted and an investigation revealed Messina was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
Messina is charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Reckless Driving, Driving While Intoxicated (BAC + .08), Driving While Intoxicated and vehicle and traffic law violation. He will be arraigned on Friday, February 06, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
