Suffolk SPCA: Lake Ronkonkoma Man Charged with Allowing His Chickens to Freeze to Death

SPCA charged Christopher Fleck of Lake Ronkonkoma, 53, with animal cruelty.

Lake Ronkonkoma, NY - February 5, 2019 - Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Lake Ronkonkoma man with animal cruelty on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
 
Christopher Fleck, 53, was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance including food, water and allowing his four chickens to freeze to death. The chickens were living in deplorable conditions.
 
The remaining chickens were surrendered and transported to an undisclosed sanctuary.
 
Fleck is scheduled to  appear in First District Court on April 2, 2019.
