SCPD Looking for Witnesses of Thanksgiving Day Assault in Port Jeff

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to locate a man who assaulted another man at a Port Jefferson bar the night before Thanksgiving.

Port Jefferson, NY - February 5th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to locate a man who assaulted another man at a Port Jefferson bar the night before Thanksgiving. 
 
A 43-year-old St. James man was assaulted by another man at Tara’s Inn, located at 1519 Main St., on November 28, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The man suffered a broken leg and was treated at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson.
 
The suspect was described as white, approximately 6 feet tall with blond/light brown hair.  He wore a tan coat and may have had a mustache.
 
Officers are looking to speak to witnesses to the altercation.
