AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties... Richmond...Kings...Queens...New York...Bronx...Westchester... Rockland...Nassau...and Suffolk. from 11 AM this morning to 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone . The Air Quality Index...or AQI...was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value...the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated...the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young...and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. New Hyde Park, NY - February 2, 2018 - Third Squad detectives report the arrests of two individuals for Grand Larceny that occurred on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 3:30 pm in New Hyde Park.
 
According to detectives, the female victim, 76, while loading her vehicle after shopping in the vicinity of 2335 New Hyde Park Road, was approached by an unknown male who removed the victim’s purse from a shopping cart. 
 
Upon police arrival, a male fitting the description of the subject was located and observed in the front passenger seat of a black Lexus. The vehicle was stopped by police and an investigation was conducted. The investigation revealed that Bradley Pearl, 32, of Plainview, removed the victim’s pocketbook and was arrested without incident.
 
Jillian Anselmo, 34, of Williston Park, was operating the black Lexus and was also arrested without incident.
 
Defendants Pearl and Anselmo are charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree and will be arraigned February 2, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
