Injured Canada Goose on Sunrise Highway Rescued By Suffolk County SPCA

Patchogue, NY - February 1, 2019 - On Friday, Feb. 1st , 2019, Detective Jennifer Pape from the Suffolk County SPCA responded to a distress call that a Canadian Goose was injured and on the median on Sunrise Highway near the Ocean Avenue Exit in Patchogue
 
Det. Pape immediately responded to the location where she was able to capture the injured goose. She transported the goose to the Animal Emergency Hospital in Selden where he will undergo surgery to repair a severe laceration. Once he recovers he will be released.
