Pedestrian Killed in Patchogue Motor Vehicle Crash, According to Reports

Patchogue, NY - January 31, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Patchogue on Tuesday, January 30.
 
A man was crossing Main Street when he was struck by a westbound 2005 GMC Sierra that was attempting to make a right turn onto North Ocean Avenue at approximately 1:20 p.m.
 
The man, who has yet to be identified by police, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup, Robert Dono, 56, of East Patchogue, was not injured.
 
The GMC was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
