Glen Cove, NY - January 30, 2019 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 6:32 p.m. in Glen Cove.
According to detectives, a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of Stop and Shop located at 177 Forest Ave. The victim, Theresa Dellavecchia of Glen Cove, 89, suffered multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The victim’s identity is not being released at this time pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing.
