Suffolk Police Report Man Killed in East Patchogue Motor Vehicle Crash

UPDATE - January 31, 2018 - Stanley Gravatt Jr., 57, of Patchogue, has been identified as the man killed in the single-vehicle crash on the Sunrise Highway Entrance Ramp at exit 54 in East Patchogue yesterday.

East Patchogue, NY - January 30, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a man in East Patchogue on Tuesday, January 30.
 
A 57-year-old man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet on the entrance ramp to eastbound Sunrise Highway at Exit 54 when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned at 8:25 a.m. The man was transported by Patchogue Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
