Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in East Islip Crash, Authorities Report

East Islip, NY - January 29, 2019 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in East Islip on Monday, January 28.
 
Brendan Patton was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Main Street near Fern Place when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a 2019 BMW at approximately 6 p.m.
 
Patton, 33, of West Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries. The driver of the BMW, Stephen Nowakowski, 63, of East Islip, was not injured.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
