Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Long Beach, Police Report

Long Beach, NY - January 29, 2017 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in Long Beach on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 5:35 am.
 
According to detectives, a 50 year old male was entering his parked vehicle on Riverside Boulevard in the vicinity of East Hudson Street at which time an unknown northbound vehicle/operator (no description) struck the male causing him to strike his head and face against a third parked vehicle.
 
The unknown operator of the vehicle continued to travel north on Riverside Boulevard without stopping to render aid or to identify himself. The male victim suffered multiple fractures and severe head trauma and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The victim is listed in extremely critical condition.
