Brentwood Man Arrested for Dumping, Abandoning His Dog from Vehicle, Suffolk SCPA Says

Farmingville, NY - January 29, 2017 - A Brentwood man was arrested in Farmingville on January 26th, 2018 for abandonment and cruelty to animals for lack of veterinary care, both misdemeanor charges. The dog had a laceration on its paw which was left untreated. The dog was covered with blood. The dog, Creed, a 2 year old pit bull mix, was found on January 18, 2018 at approximately 8:30 pm in Holtsville after being abandoned by being dumped out of a vehicle.

Suffolk County SPCA Detectives arrested Caciem Kruer, 20, after a comprehensive, thorough investigation.  
 
Each charge is punishable by imprisonment for not more than one year, or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or by both.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
