One Man Killed, One Injured in North Amityville Shooting

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another in North Amityville this morning.

Malik Abdullah, 21, of North Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 21-year-old North Amityville man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

North Amityville, NY - January 28, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another in North Amityville this morning.

First Precinct patrol officers responded to Glenmalure Street at 2:17 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a possible shooting.  When officers arrived, they discovered two men had been shot in the street in front of 95 Glenmalure Street.

One victim, Malik Abdullah, 21, of North Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The other victim, a 21-year-old North Amityville man, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
