Man Rescued after Falling into Water at Bay Park Fishing Station

Oceanside, NY - January 26, 2016 - The Fourth Precinct reports the details of a Water Rescue which occurred on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2:15 P.M. in Oceanside.

According to police, a male, 50 years of age, while attempting to put gas in a duck boat, slipped on the icy dock and into the water at Bay Park Fishing Station.  The responding officer was able to locate the man, pull him out of the water and render aid until an ambulance arrived.  He was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and possible hypothermia. The aided spent approximately half an hour in the water.
