Town of Islip: Recreation, Senior Program Cancellations
Islip, NY- January 26th, 2015 - The Islip Town Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs has announced several cancellations in anticipation of this week’s expected snowfall. Their morning pre-schools shall be open today (Monday, 1/26), but all afternoon pre-school programs are cancelled. The town's recreation center/pre-school staff have been calling afternoon pre-school and activity parents to make them aware of the schedule changes.
All afternoon and evening activities at the Town’s recreation centers and gym/park facilities are cancelled.
Islip Town’s senior centers are closed to the public; the centers shall be open to employees to prepare our senior meals, which will be delivered Monday and Friday.
Their drivers will not transport seniors tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/27); the drivers will concentrate on getting meals delivered.
