Written by Long Island News & PR  |  25. January 2016

Long Island, NY - January 25, 2016 - LIRR will operate regular weekday service during the PM Rush Hour on Monday, January 25 on the Port Washington, Babylon, Ronkonkoma, and Huntington branches. Train service will also be provided in LIRR diesel territory on the Montauk, Oyster Bay, Port Jefferson Branches, and between Greenport and Ronkonkoma. Please allow extra travel time and expect delays and crowding.

Additional work in clearing snow/icing from the tracks is required before service can be restored on the four branches that remain suspended – Far Rockaway, Hempstead, Long Beach and West Hempstead. Customers on these branches are advised to use alternate LIRR service on branches where service has been restored.

There will be no service between Jamaica Station and Atlantic Terminal during Monday’s PM Rush Hour.

Customers on branches with suspended service should sign up for our free email alerts, download the LIRR’s TrainTime app and monitor online for LIRR service advisories regarding restoration of service on these branches.
