Two Wheatley Heights Brothers Arrested for Armed Robberies, Burglary, Police Report

Suffolk County, NY - January 24, 2017 - Suffolk County Police have arrested two brothers in connection with two armed robberies and a burglary of First Precinct businesses on January 23, 2018.
 
Miguel Rios-Hurdle walked into the Valero Gas Station, located at 355 Bay Shore Road in Deer Park, New York, at approximately 3:25 a.m., displayed a gun and demanded cash. The teller complied with his demands and the suspect fled. 
 
Rios-Hurdle and his brother Romeo Rios-Hurdle then broke into Milk N’ Things, located at 1287 Deer Park Ave. in  North Babylon, New York, at approximately 3:35 a.m., and stole cash from the closed business. 
 
Miguel Rios-Hurdle then walked into the Mobil gas station, located at 380 Commack Road in Deer Park, at approximately 4 a.m., displayed a gun, and demanded cash. The teller complied with his demands and the suspect fled.
 
Following an investigation, First Squad detectives arrested the brothers in Wheatley Heights, New York on January 23, 2018 at 8:45 p.m.
 
Miguel Rios-Hurdle, 18, of Wheatley Heights was charged with two counts of Robbery 1st Degree and Burglary 3rd Degree. Romeo Rios-Hurdle, 16, of Wheatley Heights was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree.
 
Both are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, New York on January 24, 2018.
