Book your calendar to head over to Museum Row on Long Island in February! During a week when kids will be out from school – from Saturday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, Feb. 23, Nassau County and the Cradle of Aviation Museum will host “$5 February Fest.”

“$5 February Fest” is an opportunity to enjoy films and other showings at the Cradle of Aviation’s IMAX Giant Screen Dome Theater where children ages 2-12 only have to pay $5.

$5 February Fest “provides families a wonderful opportunity to enjoy educational films at an affordable price,” said Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano.

Showings scheduled for the week include:

  • One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Big Adventure
  • Back to the Moon for Good
  • Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure
  • Air Racers: The Ultimate Air Show Experience
  • Jerusalem
  • Wildest Weather in the Solar System
  • Cosmic Collisions

Expect a unique experience of motion, sound and sight at the JetBlue Sky Theater Planetarium at the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Each planetarium show also includes a short Your Night Sky presentation where you visually travel through the seasonal night sky to learn about the constellations, hear mythical stories of gods and goddesses, locate and identify planets and stars, and observe the Long Island sky like you’ve never seen before.

Reach the box office by calling (516) 572-4111.

Museum Row is home to several of Long Island’s finest museums, located on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Garden City.
