Driver Wanted by Authorities for Leaving Scene of East Islip Vehicle Crash

East Islip, NY - January 23, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who fled the scene of a motor vehicle crash that injured a man in front of 3311 Union Blvd. in East Islip.
 
A person driving a silver/gray 2005-2006 Nissan Altima eastbound on Union Boulevard struck a parked car, as well as a man who was standing near the car, between 12:10 and 12:19 on January 10. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
 
The driver of the Altima fled the scene in the vehicle, which sustained front end damage and a broken driver’s side mirror.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
