Massapequa, NY - January 22nd, 2015 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a larceny that occurred on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:40 pm in Massapequa.
According to detectives, while working out at Synergy Gym, 5300 Sunrise Highway, the 23 year old female victim received a text from her bank that her Visa debit card had just been used at a local Waldbaums supermarket. After returning to the gym’s locker room, she discovered that her locker had been broken into and her car keys were missing. The victim went out to the parking lot and observed that her pocketbook had been stolen from her car.
A subsequent investigation by detectives revealed that a female subject (see attached photos) made two cash withdrawals from the victim’s account at Astoria Bank branches located in West Babylon and Bay Shore.
