SCPD Crime Alert: Woman Wanted for Using Counterfeit Bills in Miller Place

Miller Place, NY - January 23rd, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who used counterfeit money at two businesses in Miller Place in December.

A woman entered Echo Medical and Surgical Supplies, located at 60 Echo Ave., and purchased gauze using a counterfeit $20 bill on December 30 at 3:10 p.m. A few minutes later, the same woman purchased rubbing alcohol from Echo Pharmacy, located at 56 Echo Ave., using a counterfeit $20 bill.

The woman is described as white and approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. She left the parking lot in a black Ford Mustang with white New York plates.  

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
