The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11:40 a.m. in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a Roosevelt Avenue residence for a house fire. Upon police arrival, the attic was engulfed in flames and officers safely evacuated a 27-year-old male from the residence. The Valley Stream Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced residents.
The investigation is on-going.
