Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly joined his colleagues in government on Sunday, Jan. 18 in congratulating Roosevelt’s Nicia Warren for being recognized as Congresswoman Laura Gillen’s NY-04 Congressional App Challenge winner.
Nicia’s interactive map app, “Find My Food Drive,” builds a local database of food drives that allows hosts to post and seek donations and individuals identify available resources for their families.
“Nicia’s app provides our community with a wonderful service and serves as a powerful demonstration of how the power of technology can be harnessed for good,” Legislator Davis said. “I congratulate her on this admirable achievement and join our community celebrating her journey from Roosevelt schools to the Engineering the Future stage!”
