Suspect Wanted for Burglarizing Medford Home

Medford, NY - January 21st, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who broke into an occupied home in Medford in December 2014.

On December 24, 2014, the suspect knocked on the front door of a home on Sipp Avenue in Medford. When the resident opened the door, the man displayed a silver handgun and forced his way into the home. Once inside, the burglar stole cash, a laptop computer and a cellphone.

The suspect (pictured in sketch) was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a baseball cap with a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and brown and green Timberland boots.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
