Officials: Two MS-13 Gang Members Arrested After Robbing Taxi Driver in Copiague

Copiague, NY - January 15, 2017 - Suffolk County Police arrested two men for robbery of a taxi driver on Friday, January 12, 2018.
 
First Precinct Crime Control officers Richard Tofano, Michael Lavella, and Erik Nilsen located and arrested two men at 9:20 p.m. for robbing a taxi cab driver last night with a gun. The taxi cab robbery occurred at 8:50 p.m. in front of a residence on Oak Street in Copiague. Both men are self-admitted MS-13 gang members.
 
Jeremy Jones, 27, of Queens and Jose Molina, 20, of Queens were both charged with Robbery 1st Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree.
 
They were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 13.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
