Port Jefferson, NY - January 15, 2015 - Share the gift of presence at the Good Shepherd Hospice Inpatient Center in Port Jefferson as special volunteer known as The Compassionate Shepherd.  The Compassionate Shepherd is a specially trained volunteer who may sit vigil or offer comfort and support to hospice patients at our Inpatient Center who are in their final hours of life.  Hospice is dedicated to making every minute of life as comfortable as possible and ensuring that no one has to die alone.
