Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Chase bank in West Babylon on Tuesday.

West Babylon, NY - January 15th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Chase bank in West Babylon on Tuesday.

A man entered the bank, located at 523 Montauk Highway, approached a teller and produced a note that stated he had a gun and demanded cash.  The teller complied with the demand and gave the suspect cash from the drawer.  The suspect fled on foot and was last seen heading eastbound on Montauk Highway.

The robber is described as a white male, between 6 feet 5 inches tall and 6 feet 7 inches tall, in his mid-20s.  He has a thin build, was unshaven and was wearing a red and black ski jacket.
