Assemblywoman Rebecca Kassay is pleased to announce January's Monthly Mission event as part of her ongoing community volunteer program series: Life-Saving Skills on Thursday, January 29th, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at Setauket Fire Department at 190 Main Street, East Setauket, NY 11733. This mission is brought to the community through a partnership with Setauket Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department.
At the event, the Assemblywoman and community partners will highlight the importance of quick action in life threatening scenarios, and volunteers will be taught skills such as how to perform hands-only CPR, Stop The Bleed, administer Narcan, defibrillator use, and more.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to accept this mission. No experience or equipment required. To sign up for the monthly mission by using this link: https://tinyurl.com/3rr782jz or contacting Assemblywoman Kassay’s office directly at 631-751-3094 or kassayr@nyassembly.gov.
The Monthly Mission program series gives residents of all ages an opportunity to learn about local issues while tackling brief but impactful hands-on service projects. Participants will lend a hand, meet their neighbors, and make a difference! For each event attended, participants will receive a unique sticker to place in their Monthly Mission Passport, distributed by Assemblywoman Kassay’s office. Volunteers can collect stickers to earn a Certificate of Service from Assemblywoman Kassay, recognizing their commitment to caring for our community.
