Brentwood, NY - January 13, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in Brentwood this morning.

Third Precinct officers responded to 27 Meadowbrook Drive after a 911 caller reported shots fired at 5:35 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man shot in the roadway.  The victim, Florentino Hernandez-Zavala, 25, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
