Two Patchogue Women Smoked Crack in Car in Front of 4 Year-Old Child, Cops Say

Carle Place, NY - January 12, 2017 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of two women from Patchogue at 10:50PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Carle Place.
 
According to Detectives, Officers observed two women and a female four year old child seated in a parked car in the parking lot of 371 Old Country Road. Officers approached the vehicle and witnessed the occupants smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine. The officers instructed the occupants to open the vehicle doors and the occupants refused. Subsequently, the officers were able to open the doors and place both occupants under arrest. The female child was released to a family member.
 
Arrested were defendants Erica M Anderson, 34, and Kristen O’Hara, 29, both of Patchogue. Defendant Anderson is charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Defendant O’Hara is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon third degree, eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Criminal Possession of Marihuana. The Defendants will be arraigned on January 12, 2018 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
