Delivery Man Punched & Robbed at Gunpoint in Copiague, Investigation Continues

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery in which a Chinese food delivery man was robbed by two males in Copiague last night.

Two males robbed a 23-year-old man returning from his food delivery in Copiague. Anyone with information is asked to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Copiague, NY - January 12, 2016 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery in which a Chinese food delivery man was robbed by two males in Copiague last night.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was returning to his delivery vehicle on Cassata Drive when he was approached by two men at approximately 6:20 p.m. One of the suspects punched the victim in the face while the other suspect displayed a black handgun and ordered the victim to the ground.  The suspects took approximately $200 cash from the victim as well as his cell phone and delivery vehicle. The victim suffered only minor injuries and refused medical attention.

The vehicle and cell phone were recovered a short time later.

The suspects are described as a black male and an Hispanic male, both in their late teens to early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing.
