Victim Had Headphones Stolen by Scammer She Met on the Internet, NCPD Says

Officials: The victim, who attempting to sell the headphones, was thrown to the ground by the suspect, who fled with the headphones.

Lakeview, NY - January 11, 2019 - The Fifth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Lakeview on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
 
According to detectives, a 19 year old female victim arranged on social media to meet and sell her headphones to an unknown subject for an agreed price. The victim met the unknown subject at the intersection of Woodfield Road and Pine brook Avenue and began showing the headphones. At this time the subject threw the victim to the ground, fled on foot with the headphones in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported.
 
The subject is described as being male, black, medium complexion, 17 – 20 years old, heavy build, patchy beard, facial acne, gray North Face jacket, Nike sweat pants, blue Air Jordan’s sneakers.
