Hempstead, NY - January 10, 2017 - The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for Leaving the Scene of Fatal Auto Accident which occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 06:40 am in Hempstead.

According to detectives, Christopher Ebron, 21, of Hempstead, was driving a 2001 Mercedes Benz northbound on North Franklin Ave., when he struck the victim, a female pedestrian, attempting to cross North Franklin Avenue.  The victim suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Identification of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

Ebron is charged with Leaving the Scene of an Incident and will be arraigned on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
