Police: Uniondale Man Nabbed in Possession of Multiple Forged Credit Cards, Skimming Device

Hicksville, NY - January 9, 2019 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument that occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 12:01 am in Hicksville.
 
According to detectives, Bureau of Special Operation officers observed a male operating a black 2017 Nissan Maxima in the vicinity of the Broadway Mall while talking on his cellular phone. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop.
 
A thorough investigation was conducted and Fabeian Scotland, 28, was arrested. Scotland was in possession of eight (8) fraudulent credit cards, a fraudulent South Carolina driver’s license and two (2) credit card skimming devices.
 
Defendant Scotland is charged with nine (9) counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, two (2) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Skimming Device 2nd Degree and Traffic Violations. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
