Central Islip Woman Arrested for Forging Bank Withdrawal Slip

East Meadow, NY - January 9th, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Central Islip woman for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12:00 pm in East Meadow.

According to detectives, Tiffany Harper, 34, of William Avenue, while employed as a bank teller for JP Morgan Chase Bank, 2469 Hempstead Turnpike processed a withdrawal for a bank customer in the amount of $1200.00. After the transaction took place, Harper altered the withdrawal slip to indicate an amount of $4200.00, the difference of $3000.00 which she withdrew, in cash, from the banks register for her own gain.

Harper, who is charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree, with be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 01/09/15.
